Mixed Bag...

This has been a strange few days. Last week I had my first proper (not pill induced) TOTM, and I think it may have contributed to my binge eating. I used to hate it when people blamed weight loss on totm but it certainly made a difference for me. I also had little food in the house making dinners difficult. Well, at WI I put on 0.5lb. Not all that bad considering the binging!

Friday I went to a friend's for dinner. She had said that she would try and make it healthy for me but I told her not to worry and I would just work it off over the week. However, it was very very bad weight watchers wise. Starter was tricolore salad with huge chunks of full fat mozzarella and olive oil, dinner was homemade chicken kiev (oozing with garlic butter) with asparagus and chips (luckily not too many!) and dessert was sticky chocolate fudge cake (I did resist the cream). I also had about 3 glasses of wine and 2 gin and tonics! I worked it out to be about 21 points worth of food, so am dropping my points by 4 each day this week to try and catch up.

Saturday was depressing. I hadn't slept with my CPAP machine on so I felt miserable, tired and hung over. I really felt fat all day. I used to get 'fat' days all the time but this has been my first since joining WW. Luckily, I put the feeling to good use - planning my meals for the week and doing a very healthy shop!

Today, I decided to go clothes shopping. I have no going out tops to wear and with my new found confidence, I'm going out a lot more. I did my usual - head straight for Evans! There was nothing I liked in there, Dorothy Perkins, Next, M&S, New Look or H&M. I was close to tears as I just don't have a clue about fashion any more. After 4 years of hiding my body from the world in black tents, I just don't know what would suit me. I was also scared of trying things on and them not fitting!

Eventually, I gave myself a good talking to and marched into Debenhams. I ventured into the skinny section (for the first time EVER) and picked some lovely tops. I've decided to go kinda boho/ tribal with my new look. In the changing room, the size 16 cropped jeans and size 18 tops fitted well and spurred me on to try more. I actually went back to the other shops and bought more tops and some cute little wedges in Next.

I even bought some black leggings and they don't look hideous!!!!!

So, am feeling better now. TOTM has passed and have been eating very well for two days. I'm looking forward to meeting my weight watchers buddy for lunch tomorrow and then going for a long walk along the seafront (hopefully in the sunshine!).

  1. Fantastic NSVs with your new clothes.

Can I make a post request and ask for some more info on the CPAP? I've heard a little about it but it would be good to hear a personal experience :o)
